How do I attract fans to my subscription site?

How do I attract fans to my subscription site?

If you’re here, you’ve probably heard of creators making not just hundreds of thousands but also millions of dollars on platforms like OnlyFans. So you’ve decided to start your own OnlyFans account (or maybe even MintStars). But just because it’s a potentially lucrative and highly efficient way of earning doesn’t mean it’s easy to get in the game and convince people to spend their money on you.

Getting subscribers here is as easy and as difficult as any product. And to do that well, you have to ensure you’re giving your subscribers a good value for their money, and continue posting content month after month.

Whether you’re an aspiring influencer or just someone looking to share their passions, here are some tips to get started from the MintStars team.

How do you get noticed on OnlyFans or MintStars?

All right, you’ve set up your account and got a nice bio and profile picture going for you. Now what? There are millions of creators on OnlyFans. How do we make your new account shine?

  1. Ask, and you shall get: The easiest and fastest way to get new followers would be to funnel them from your other social media accounts. Got unfailing supporters that comment on all the photos you post on Twitter and Instagram? A loyal following that genuinely loves your content and supports you all the way? Ask them for their support on your paid sites.

  1. A powerful bio: It never hurts to have an enticing, descriptive bio. Optimise it to give subscribers a glimpse of what your content is going to be about. Create enough intrigue to make yourself seem like a worthy investment. Tell people what you'll be offering, and that includes super-exclusive content and the chance to chat with you.

  1. Be consistent with your content. Try to follow a routine when it comes to posting. Once they’ve paid, fans will be waiting for your content. Post multiple times per week. Have a posting schedule - for yourself and so your fans know what to expect. If that sounds daunting, it’ll help to have a content calendar to curate your content in advance so you can automate the posts for the future. Many platforms have scheduling features so you can prepare content to go out in advance.

  1. The secret sauce: Engage with your fans! One, it’s nice to convey your thanks to people who constantly support you. Two, it opens up personal connections with your fans - making them far more likely to invest in more of your paywalled content

Imagine writing this in your bio: “I love hearing from y’all! I really want to reply to all the messages, but there are too many, and it’s impossible. If it’s urgent, you can tip me $5, and I’ll respond to you on priority." It works! Remember, people love being included in something exclusive. And if a small amount enables them to get ahead of the crowd and into a more exclusive club, they’d be happy pay. Extra income for you and more attention for your loving followers. It’s a win-win.

  1. The power of exclusivity: Make exclusivity your golden rule. Post glimpses of what’s in store, but never reveal the whole picture for free. Make sure paid content stays behind the high walls of your subscription-only content, as that’s what does justice to loyal, paying subscribers. Think outside the box, go out on a limb, and offer more exclusive content either as a gift or a prize or as a good deal. Belle Delphine literally sold her used bath water for $30 a bottle. Try coming up with quirky, creative, and bespoke ways to push the boundaries of your content and bank on it.

  1. Collaborate: Once you’ve got a solid footing on your platforms, try approaching other creators to collaborate with. On one hand, it increases your exposure to a whole new arena of potential followers and subscribers, while on the other, it pushes you slightly out of your comfort zone (your same ol’ content) and forces you to try something that your fans might love. No matter how much it helps your account in numbers, it will definitely help you creatively, and that’s never a waste.

  1. Unconventional sources: Reddit is still relatively underutilised by creators. You can look for relevant subreddits to join in, like r/cosplay, r/asmr, etc, and effectively promote your OnlyFans or MintStars content there. Since Reddit is more of a community and not a marketplace, not all subReddits allow promotion, but you are bound to find some that do. This is a safe space for people to openly talk about things that don’t see the light of day on other platforms, so finding the right followers for your niche should be easy here.
